For the next 50 years

Sunric Co., Ltd. was able to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017. We were blessed with the momentum of further business expansion, and we were able to move from Tokyo to Kanagawa.

Our history began with Yoshioka Denki Sangyo Co., Ltd., which was founded by my father, Yoshinosuke Yoshioka. Initially, we mainly sold only materials such as electric wires and nickel, but now we are dealing with minor metals such as tungsten, tantalum and molybdenum, which are the current business foundation. Eventually, we will not only sell materials but also process them, and the current Sunric Co., Ltd. was established in 1968.

At that time, the small number of employees increased as the demand for our business expanded thereafter. Of course, it is not always the case that the right shoulder is raised. While responding to various political and economic events that young people today learn through history in the course of compulsory education, he became president and CEO in 1993, and he is one step ahead without always resting in peace. Looking forward to the times, we made progress and celebrated our 50th anniversary.

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our founding, we are already making progress toward the next 50 years, but the environment surrounding the manufacturing industry is about to change like never before. We believe that the manufacturing industry will change drastically due to the progress of ICT such as 5G, 3D printers and AI, but the manufacturing industry itself will never disappear. The key to the manufacturing industry that survives in the coming era is the spirit of "pursuing individuality" and "People are the greatest asset of a company."

To tell the truth, we started with the idea of ​​minor metals from the time we were founded in Japan, where there was no market yet, and we already have a DNA of “individuality” that can survive this era of selection as a corporate climate, it has been the basis for 50 years. We are not satisfied with that, and for the next 50 years, we will further enhance this "individuality" and move toward a "only one" business. I will. Also, no matter how much ICT progresses, it is none other than "people" who produce "individuality"."People are the greatest asset of a company." is my belief.
